Data tool for the masses
Joined as founding engineer, became CTO. Went through YC W22. Three iterations of the product over 5 years.
Built most of the stack across all of them — data pipelines and real-time event systems, a full execution runtime in Rust (sandboxing, reactive DAG, kernel bridge, OT collaboration, LSP, GKE infra), and a general data agent system with subagent framework and multi-provider orchestration.
Did the rest of it too. Fundraising, hiring, GTM, keynotes.
Wrote about some of it: Notebooks are lying to you, Running Code from Strangers.
Dune Labs 2018 – ? · Remote
Engineering lab
Started in high school. Took on paid gigs for companies in finance, insurance, and startups. Mostly web/mobile apps, data/ML pipelines, internal tools, etc. Going from 0 to 1.
Made $40K+ in revenue, hired a few early-career engineers, learned a lot.
Built Hyperium through it: an AI voice agent for sales calls. The hard part was latency. Streaming STT, TTS, CRM context injection, interruption handling, keeping the full pipeline under 500ms. Later sold to an insurance company.

My first
I was 16 and nobody around me knew what a startup was. I wanted to find people who thought like me, so I built a social platform matching high school students on shared interests. Got a real community going. Nothing came of it as a business, but it was the first time I went from idea to working product, and that was cool.
